These Dogs Were Once Abandoned At A Dumping Ground, But You Helped Feed Them

Every time you buy something from the iHeartDogs store, part of that profit goes to Greater Good Charities, an organization that helps lots of animals in need. Greater Good Charities’ GOODS Program donates food and other essential supplies to shelters and rescues. Those donations can help save the lives of the rescue animals at those organizations. Some of those animals in need include dogs who have been abandoned by families they thought they could trust.

A woman named Juanita lives in a part of the Rio Grande Valley that’s known as a dumping ground for unwanted pets. It’s heartbreaking seeing so many animals left to fend for themselves, but Juanita is a low-income single mother of three children, so she cannot afford to adopt and care for dogs of her own. However, that doesn’t stop her from doing everything she can to support these abandoned pets.

Currently, Juanita is caring for some dogs that were abandoned on her property. Even though she can’t give them much, she does everything she can to keep them loved and well-fed.

Luckily, when Palm Valley Animal Society of Edinburg, Texas, heard about Juanita’s situation, they stepped up to help in any way possible. Palm Valley Animal Society is in an impoverished area, so they use donations from Greater Good Charities and the MuttNation Foundation to support pet parents and homeless pets in the community.

A Second Chance for Discarded Dogs

Thanks to donations from Palm Valley Animal Society, Juanita is able to keep her dogs fed with healthy food while also supporting other dogs that are abandoned on her property until they find another home. Now, Juanita’s family can keep the dogs they’ve been caring for because they’ll never have to worry about not having enough pet food.

“Today, her once-abandoned pets are now receiving her unconditional love. They will never have to remember what it’s like to be hungry or unwanted again, and they don’t have to worry about Juanita ever giving them up just because she can’t afford to feed them,” Palm Valley Animal Society wrote.

When you shop at the iHeartDogs store, you’re helping animals like these abandoned dogs get a better life. Even small purchases can make an impact. So, thank you to all the heroes who have bought products to help dogs in need!
